Good morning! Whew. I spent my points and ate a bigger breakfast than normal. I hope this will actually hold me longer than my breakfast the past few days. I made a hearty ham and egg sandwich and then I made a WW’s Vanilla Smoothie to go along with it. I was impressed that the vanilla smoothie tastes good. I did make it with milk…which made the points go up…
But oh well. My goal is to stay full or satisfied until noon when I have my lunch. This has not happened the past few days. I have been hungry all the time. It could be a result of my T.O.M. visiting but I am not sure. I have managed it really well. Let me tell you about the temptation I have had. Yesterday I went to check my mail at the mailroom. On the way back I wanted a diet soda. Well I stopped into our shoppette and the only thing I could think about was chocolate. That was bad…you see, Chocolate and I go way back. We have a long lasting relationship that was hard end when the time came. Now Chocolate, sweet delicious milky smooth chocolate, makes every attempt to woo me back into it fatty caloric arms. I stood strong and picked up some 100 calorie cupcakes…in chocolate, of course! LOL… how sad is that? Anyways I have also heard my beer bottles calling to me after dinner…they say, “Christy…you are thirsty. You want to drink me…don’t worry about the points, just drink me.” Needless to say I shut the door to the kitchen so that it would muffle the sounds..haha. I like beer…especially Red Stripe beer (3pts per bottle). But, it is 3 POINTS PER BOTTLE! To me that is a LOT. I am also making a point to cut back on all alcohol. I want to eliminate (for the most part) things that caused my weight gain. Alcohol and yummy German food has led to my demise. I have to make a come back.
Anyways what have you passed up lately to stay on track??

THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME LAUGH
up in herre its never the beer talking—-only the little debbies oatmeal creme pies.
Chocolate doesn’t talk to me, but anything that looks like it just walked out of the business end of a deep frier sure does. Good job on the staying on track though!
It’s more like what I ate and didn’t stay on track, Chocolate!!! I had a whole Hershey’s bar yesterday.

Well…I am glad you like my blog and I am thrilled to motivate someone that I am not related too….wait…we are not related are we? Ya never know these days…haha.

Thanks!! Christy 2
Hey! I really like your blog. Its nice to see other people struggle in the health and fitness goals too
I have an extensive background in dietary/fitness information. Some advice on the hunger between bfast and lunch. I find that if I cut the calories/points for the two meals into 1/3 ’s and use the extra 1/3 as a midmorning snack around 9:30 it keeps the hunger off and helps to avoid that unhealthy snack attack. ALSO, it keeps you from being ravenous at lunch. AND, I don’t know if you know this but if you go for more than 4 or 5 hours without eating, your metabolism slows down (and I don’t know about you but my metabolism needs all the help it can get!!).
Some great mid-morning snack ideas:
cottage cheese and yogurt
almonds
protein shakes
apples (any fruit) with cheese
AND I also have a weakness for chocolate. You could say its the little devil on my shoulder. I find that if I just can’t push him off, a small mug of hot cocoa does wonders and it doesn’t overdue on the points/calories
Good luck!! Keep up the great work!
