Pamprin to the rescue! Get this…so I woke up this morning with super freaking bad cramps. Normally I have a very mild T.O.M. so cramps are few and far between but this month things are different. I have prepared myself for this rough time though. I have factored in some coffee this morning, a diet soda and some WW’s chocolate this afternoon. Between that and the Pamprin I should be good too go. I am super bloated this morning too. My favorite dress pants that were loose on me last week were snug this morning. And I snuck on the scale and noticed I was up a pound too. It is just T.O.M. and it’s extra baggage taking a vacation in my midsection
In other news, I made a ton of Southwest Burgers last night. I should have been able to make 16 burgers for 2pts each. Instead I made 12 burgers and they will be 3 pts each. I will have lunch made for at least another week. Those burgers are great! I added a little extra cumin and chili powder this time to give it a little more kick.
Anyways here is my planned food journal for today. It is raining so I brought my gear for the gym. I hope to ride a stationary bike or do the elliptical.

Yum, I have been carrying around that Southwest turkey burger recipe for a week but haven’t had time to cook so haven’t bought the items for it yet! That is going to be my lunch for next week, plan to cook them Sunday night. Yum, I can’t wait to try them!!!
Uggg my weigh in was not good last night. I was up…I feel I just haven’t been “with it” lately — but recommited myself and actually thought of not weighing in last night…but faced the music!!! I talked to my husband last night about really focusing and doing this, it helps to talk about it even though he prob is tired of hearing me say that!
So here’s to a great week!!!
love those southwest burgers! =)
i’m actually in awe of people who do weight watchers! do you basically have a chart of foods and their points? or do you calculate the points yourself, by getting the food’s calories, fiber, fat?
Madison (followmyweigh) – There are several places to find the WW’s points. Several sites (Roni, Hungry Girl, Dotti’s Weight loss, etc) have recipes or lists of foods and their points. You can also find points using a points calculator that uses calories, fiber and fat. Roni has one on her site and I have the link to it under TOOLS on the right side.
Your daily point total is based on your age, weight and if you are active during the day. For example, I get 27 points right now. I am 27 y/o, sit all day at work, and my starting weight was 218. So I was alloted more points. As my weight drops so will my daily points. The first time I did WW’s I was only 150 pounds and 20 years old. I was only given like 24 points a day, maybe less. But I was also REALLY active during the day. I had a job that kept me moving. I was successful with my weightloss attempt and made it down to 132 in 3 months.
I think WW’s is offering a 1 wk free trial run right now. BUT you have to make sure to cancel it if you do not want it or at the end of the week you will be automatically paying for the next 3 months worth. Their website has a lot of information. In most cases you can just do a google search and find out more about the two programs they have (Core – no points, strict food list…or Flex – eat anything, count points). They do have healthy guidelines that they recommend every person meet daily to have the best results.
thanks – i appreciate the thorough explanation! many people have definitely been successful on it! do you go to their meetings?
I am an American living in Germany…I have had no luck finding English WW’s meetings so I just do it online and then I also blog. My mom and brother are both doing it too. They have both lost over 20 pounds each since we all three re-committed to WW’s at the beginning of September. I am proud of them for losing so much and sticking to their plans. Here are their sites if you are interested.
