Ohh sounds like a good menu, yum!! Question — how long does it take you to plan your menu? Also how long at the store? This week I sat down and planned my menus — first time doing breakfast, lunch and dinner for both me and the husband…..and haven’t had time to spend at the grocery like I needed to so split it up into a couple smaller trips…which is a pain!!! But I love the result of planning and knowing what we both are eating each day.
So just curious about others! Yeah on the scale result you saw!!
Great menu! I used to not like tomatoes, but now I am starting to get used to the flavour, which I do enjoy from time to time!
Everything sounds delicious!
Normally I do my menu planning while I am at work….if I am on a break or at lunch seems to be when I have the most time to sit down and look things over.
I have a weird process for making my menu and shopping list. First off I have a list of recipes I like from Roni’s site, the WW’s site, WW’s cookbooks and then other recipes. I have a note book that I keep my menu’s and shopping lists in. I flip back through it and see what I have cooked recently. This also helps me to know what I did not make from last week and what needs to be used this week.
Then I try to plan out at least 7 dinners, something for my husband and I to take for lunch, and then quick breakfast stuff (ie. oatmeal, egg beaters w/ bagels and poptarts for the husband. I keep a list on the fridge of the different dinners we can have each week. I try to give my husband a chance to let me know what he wants for dinner each morning before he leaves the house…but some mornings I just don’t talk to him before he leaves the house (at o’dark:thirty).
I would say it takes me as little as 20 minutes or as much as 45 minutes to plan out my menu and shopping list. It mainly depends on what kind of meals I am making. At the store…it takes forever. I shop on post at the military version of a grocery store. Tons of people…lots of slow old people…and bratty kids in the way
Christy #2…I am really glad you are back. You are eating fantastic stuff!
Looks like a great menu – good idea to plan ahead like that. I love the Southwest turkey burgers. I made up a batch on the weekend, and have been eating them throughout the week.
wow it looks like you are set and prepared – good job! =)
