Oh ya…we made it through another work week! And I even made it to bed at an almost decent time last night. I woke up a couple times during the night but that helped to make it feel like I was really sleeping for a long time.
Yesterday my work group ended up doing a lunch outting so my lunch plan was foiled. I ordered a diet coke, garlic bread and baked spinach lasagna. Believe it or not that was the healthiest thing on the menu. The garlic bread was a back up plan incase the lasanga tanked…and it did. It was terrible. I ate about 1/4 to 1/3 of the portion of lasanga and then I ate my garlic bread. The bread was 4 pieces roughly the size of my hand with about 1/2 tbsp of white cheese on it. Regardless of what I ate it did not set well and I was in the restroom regretting it about 5 hours later
Dinner was fine and 100% on plan. I skipped all the caloric drinks and just had some water. I did end up eating a small 2pt chocolate bar when I woke up around 2am. I was craving chocolate so much that I was dreaming about it. Woah…my inner fat kid is working over time to sabotage my healthy efforts.

Breakfast on the go...Water, Red Bull, Oatmeal
This morning I made sure to watch my oatmeal cooking. The past few days it has been boiling over in the microwave…and I HATE when that happens. So today I stood patiently infront of the microwave and watched, waiting for a possible boil over.
I might have a saving grace for tonight though. We are supposed to have dinner out at a traditional german place for a going away dinner for someone in my husband’s company….well the rumor is that it is going to be cancelled…yay! No schnitzel for me! So I have planned dinner at home as my back up plan.
In other news…I received an email from Liz (on behalf of California Raisins) about a recently published marketing board. She felt that the information she had would or could benefit some of my readers. After I checked out the site I agreed with her.

Although 1/4 cup of raisins is 2 pts it is also a full serving of fruit. Not to mention “rasisins not only provide energy and antioxidants but are also fat and cholesterol free,” accord to this website.
This is also the website that can provide you with tips to save some money while your main efforts are focused on weight loss. Most of the tips are no-brainers that we have all heard before BUT it is good to hear again. Simple things can be over looked in our daily humdrum. Celebrity fitness trainer Valerie Waters has teamed up with the raisins conglomerate to provide you with “six simple solutions to buff up without breaking the bank.” The advice Ms Waters provides is very helpful. Her tips cover major holidays and regular days. Upon Googling Ms Waters I found that she also has a fitness product on the market. I would love to test this out and provide a review for it!

Food Journal 23 Jan
Anyways back to me…here is my food journal for today. Roni’s pork chops are on the menu tonight
They are a favorite of ours. Hopefully I will be able to snap a picture of the yummy meal tonight. I am looking forward to this weekend. We are having baked chicken one day and then either pineapple pork or ground turkey meat loaf for dinner this weekend. Also I want to try my hand at tweaking Roni’s Tortilla-less soup and making it into an italian version that is not spicy. I have all the veggies and the herbs for it…I just need the time. If it works I will have a recipe and pics just for you! Well I have to get moving. Work is calling to me. Have a happy Friday!

Haha Red Bull? -lol- Nice!
