I gained 100 pounds…just kidding
But I do have 2 announcements. This is my 301st post on my blog (since switching to WordPress)! And I have met my goal of losing 15 pounds before my trip on 28 April (7 days left, btw!!). I am 201 pounds! I have to say it was very bittersweet this morning when I hopped on the scale. I thought for sure I would lose more than 1 pound, but that is all my body could crank out this week. Last week I was down 3 pounds so I cannot be TOO upset over the 1 pound loss. BUT…the bodybugg program was not thrilled. When I only lost 1 pound instead of 2 it threw me off my plan. I should be sitting pretty at -16.27 pounds. So the program (on the computer) gave me some writing (in RED!) and told me that I should read over some of their material. So this week I guess I have to kick it up a notch this week. I kind of set another mini goal early last week. I would LOVE to be under 200 before I get home. But if that does not happen it does not mean I will have a bad trip.
Speaking of my trip, my mom is very excited about starting a workout routine. For Mother’s Day I bought her a pair of Nike’s and a Polar heart rate/calorie monitor. I have something else for her too that is NOT exercise related…but I don’t want to say just in case she is reading today
I hope to take her to the local gym and also the local rec center. The rec center has an exercise facility, pool and hot tub. It will be nice to work out and then soak in the hot tub.
Anyways…yesterday was a good day for me. I worked out at lunch on the treadmill. I walked 3.24 miles and burned 530 calories. Then after work I went to the step/cardio class and burned around 600 calories. My food was good all day. I might have had too much salt…which might explain the lack of weight loss…but oh well.

My meals today are a little indulgent but not too much…
- Smoothie (strawberries, kiwi, cherries, light soy milk, flax seed, spinach) (230 cal)
- Graham crackers, apple (181 cal)
- Subway 6in Turkey on wheat w/ cheese and veggies, baked lay’s, 2 chocolate chip cookies (817 cal)
- snack skipped
- Roni’s Garlic Chicken and Veggie Stirfry w/ 1 cup rice (415 cal)
- hot cocoa (75 cal)
- Total:: 1722 calories consumed
Workout
- lunch time treadmill (around 3 miles, 500 calories)
- after work walk w/ husband (2 miles)

SOOO close!! Yeah, don’t think I’ll be getting a bodybugg if its going to chastise me in red even when burning 4,000 calories in a day!
I’d love to have a way to find out how much muscle is being built up like they do in Biggest Loser. With the way you are exercising and changing it up I just know you are building a ton of muscle!
